I have no idea where I should begin with this, so I am jumping right in at the shallow end. My first blog post (if you don’t count the few intermittent pieces I have put on my Reiki blog over the years: http://reikibuddho.blogspot.com.eg/) is going to be a ramble. I’m still green when it comes to blogging, and I am struggling to figure out what all these different options are in the settings. I think I have figured some of it, like the share buttons and comments on this post, but not much more.
Writing this is, to be honest, me simply prevaricating. I have chapter 7 of my novel ‘The Temple of the Djinn’ to work on and I am seriously behind where I want to be with it. I’ll tell you more about that project as time goes by. But I wanted to get this going too. I have a slew of articles starting to come out and nowhere to put them. The first of them appeared in ‘The Community Times‘ last week. I’ll post the article on this site in the coming days.
So what to expect here? Lots more of my writing. I’ve been a writer, mostly without doing all that much writing, for a lot of years. Too much prevarication, not enough action. It’s time to change that. After all, back in 2005, I managed to write a whole book and get it published (and when I can get the page up, I will post some details of that here too). Now it’s time to get on with the job and prove that I can do it. Baz (Barry) Markam, my English teacher back in Dunsmore School for Boys had faith in me. All these years later, still hanging on to his words of encouragement, here I am. Finally attempting to carve out a niche in the world of writing.
