Voices of Women Worldwide Inc & VOW-TV 5th April 2016
This interview was conducted by Marwa Adam during a visit to Alexandria, travelling up from Cairo, during April 2016. Marwa wanted to talk to me about my work as a writer and teacher of Reiki. The interview appeared in the Voices for Women Worldwide Ning network and so you can’t access it unless you are a member. The full interview is, therefore, reproduced here.
Talent Spotlight Magazine 22nd February 2012
This interview, first published in Talent Spotlight Magazine on 22nd February 2012, was conducted by the editor of Talent Spotlight, Jessica Gilbert, at the time when 12seconds for Peace was causing huge ripples in the global Peace movement. The 2011 revolution in Egypt, put 12seconds for Peace on the shelf, where it still sits, waiting for me to take it down and resurrect it. You can access the interview at the link above, but it is also reproduced here.
Interview with Sandra Harrick on Soul Awakenings 7th October 2010
This was a great interview to do with Sandra Harrick on her Soul Awakenings show. I was living in Sudan at the time, researching another book project (‘Islam’s Gandhi‘), when Sandra contacted me to do this interview. The interview ranges across the 12seconds for Peace project as well as my Reiki book and everything in between those two markers. You can hear the interview here on SoundCloud.
Interview with Lisa Tenzin-Dolma 28th August 2010
The interview with the author, Lisa Tenzin-Dolma, took place in August 2010, at the height of 12seconds for Peace’s success. It only ever appeared as a Facebook Note, unfortunately, but it is preserved for posterity here also.
Interview with Cheryl Stringall 13th July 2010
This interview took place on July 13th, 2010 and was conducted by Cheryl Stringall and her husband, the musician Tony Lowe. This was soon after the launch of 12seconds for Peace and I spent a wonderful weekend in the company of Cheryl and Tony at their home in Dorset. In exchange for their amazing hospitality, I gave Tony a Reiki attunement, which I think blew him away!
You can find the interview page here: String, but you can find the full interview on the player below.
The Planting Seeds 4 Peace Interview with the Lynne Hazelden & Marcia Johnson 22nd March 2010
Hot on the heels of the Chris ‘OneFeather’ Anderson interview, was this one with the late Lynne Hazeleden. I met Lynne just before this interview (or after… I can’t remember now) at her home in Brighton. We had many long chats about life, art, peace, and Reiki whilst taking in the spectacular scenery of the English coastline. Lynne and Marcia contributed a video to the 12seconds for Peace project, on behalf of their own initiative ‘Planting Seeds 4 Peace‘. You can hear my interview with them here.
Interview with Chris ‘OneFeather’ Anderson 7th March 2010
This was a great interview to do with Chris ‘OneFeather’, as a part of his ‘OneFeather Journal Radio‘ show on BlogTalk radio for the group Humanity Healing. This was one of the first interviews that I gave about 12seconds for Peace. You can find the interview on BlogTalk Radio here.
Karma Cafe with James Beam & Chandi Devi 12th June 2008
My Reiki book was really starting to make some noise in the global Reiki community about this time, and so I was being connected to and interviewed by all manner of people around the world. This was one of those interviews, broadcast live in California, and so being in the UK, I was up in the middle of the night, doing my very best to sound wide awake. You can hear the interview here.
The Kriss Van Hook interview on Achieve Radio 26th June 2007
Another Achieve Radio show. This time Kriss Van Hook’s ‘My Spiritual Healer Radio Show‘. It was lovely to chat to Kriss about my Reiki book, but unfortunately, like the Sherry Anshara interview that went before it, no Archive of the show, so again I am sending you to my upload of the interview on SoundCloud, which you can find here.
An Interview with Sherry Anshara on Achieve Radio 23rd May 2007
Sherry was a wonderful interviewer, and I loved talking to her about my book ‘Reiki Jin Kei Do: The Way of Compassion & Wisdom‘, that had come out the previous autumn. Sherry had a regular show on Achieve Radio, but, as far as I can tell, Achieve don’t have an Archive of their shows so you can find it here on SoundCloud.
Rugby Advertiser 1st March 2007
And another promo for the local Reiki group in The Rugby Advertiser.
Rugby Times 27th February 2007
This was a promo for the local Reiki group that I set up as a consequence of the profile that I was receiving following the publication of my book. Published in the now defunct Rugby Times.
Warwickshire Life February 2007
Another book promotion in the local county magazine, Warwickshire Life.
Choice Rugby February-March 2007
This was a really good write-up in the local Choice magazine (now defunct), covering my journey to being an internationally known teacher of Reiki.
Rugby Times 9th January 2007
Another promotion in the local press for the book signing and talk. The Rugby Times is no longer published.
Warwickshire News 5th January 2007
The Warwickshire county promotion for my talk and book signing at Rugby Library.

My Spirit Radio 20th October 2006
I gave this interview on October 20th, 2006, just after the publication of my book ‘Reiki Jin Kei Do: The Way of Compassion & Wisdom‘. It was a real pleasure to chat to Chrissie Rhyman at My Spirit Radio. You can find the player for the original interview below. This was a part of their ‘Body Bliss’ series of interviews:
Warwickshire Telegraph 6th October 2006
And another piece following the publication of my book in the Warwickshire Telegraph (now defunct).
Rugby Observer 28th September 2006
And the Rugby Observer also covers the publication of my book with a much better write-up.
Rugby Advertiser 21st September 2006
And then my Reiki book came out and I was getting into the press all over again, thanks to the Advertiser. The book had just been released at the time this piece appeared in the local press.
Rugby Advertiser 23rd September 1999
Another piece with Chris Brown in the Rugby Advertiser, who suffered a great deal with ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis or chronic fatigue syndrome) and used Reiki effectively to control the condition.
Rugby Evening Telegraph 10th September 1999
Awful photo of me. Chris Brown, the lady that I am doing Reiki on in this piece in the Rugby Evening Telegraph (now ceased publication), was my first Reiki client and went on to be one of my first Reiki students.
Feng Shui for Modern Living January 1999
This piece was written by one of my Reiki students, Terri McClean and appeared in the now defunct ‘Feng Shui for Modern Living‘ magazine. It was nice to get out of the local press and into something more national.
Rugby Observer 5th March 1998
Rugby Advertiser 5th March 1998
And using the press for some free promo to get my classes off to a flying start. Thank you Rugby Advertiser.
Rugby Evening Telegraph 23rd February 1998
And then I got my Masters certificate so I could start teaching Reiki to others. Reported in the now defunct Rugby Evening Telegraph.
Adam Mountford Show on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Radio 1997
My first ever radio interview and it scared the crap out of me. This was way back in the days when I had just learned and started teaching Reiki for the first time. Back in 1997, it was still relatively new and most people hadn’t heard of it, so here I am telling the world all about Reiki and getting very flustered. The interview goes okay, though, mostly. Sort of. This link takes you to my upload of the show on SoundCloud.
Rugby Observer 28th November 1996
More of the same in the Rugby Observer.
Rugby Advertiser 21st November 1996
Another piece hits the Rugby Advertiser, this time with me doing Reiki on the head of my ex-wife Fiona.
Rugby Evening Telegraph 15th November 1996
The start of my journey with Reiki began and put me on the map of the local healing and complementary therapy community. By the time this piece appeared in the Rugby Evening Telegraph, I was already getting well established in my hometown of Rugby.
